1. Using DigiCompress
By using DigiCompress you agree to these terms. If you don’t agree, please don’t use the service. You must be at least 13 years old, or the minimum age required in your country, to create an account.
2. The service
DigiCompress provides tools that compress files inside your web browser. Visitors without an account can compress up to 3 files in a rolling 24-hour period. Signed-in users can compress without a daily limit, subject to fair use. We may change, add or remove features, and we may adjust limits to keep the service available for everyone.
3. Your files
Your files stay yours. Because they are processed on your device, we never receive them and claim no rights to them. You are responsible for having the right to process the files you use and for keeping your own copies — compression changes files, and lossy compression permanently discards some detail. Always keep your original.
4. Acceptable use
Please don’t:
- Use automated scripts or bots to get around the free daily limit.
- Interfere with, overload or attempt to break the security of the service.
- Reverse-engineer our server functions or misuse our APIs.
- Use DigiCompress for anything unlawful.
5. Accounts
You can sign in with Google or an email magic link. Keep access to your email account secure. We may suspend accounts that break these terms. You can ask us to delete your account at any time.
6. No warranty
DigiCompress is provided free of charge, “as is” and “as available”. We work hard to make it reliable, but we don’t guarantee that every file will compress, that results will meet a particular size, or that the service will always be available.
7. Limitation of liability
To the extent the law allows, DigiCompress is not liable for indirect or consequential losses, or for loss of data, arising from your use of the service. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.
8. Changes and contact
We may update these terms; the date at the top shows the latest version. Continuing to use DigiCompress after a change means you accept it. Questions: hello@digicompress.com. Our privacy policy explains how we handle data.
