Three steps to an accepted photo
Read your portal’s rule
Look for lines like “not more than 50KB”, “JPG only” or “300×300 pixels” on the registration page.
Enter it here
Set the KB limit, and the pixels if given. Leave pixels off if the portal only mentions file size.
Download and upload
Upload the new photo to the portal. Your picture never touched our servers.
Why portals reject photos
The most common reasons are a file that is too large, the wrong format (for example HEIC from an iPhone or PNG when JPG is required), or pixel dimensions that don’t match. DigiCompress fixes all three in one go.
Requirements change between sessions and differ between institutions, so we don’t list “official” numbers here. Always copy the exact figures from the portal you are using.
Useful extras
- Wrong background colour?
- Use the background remover to switch to white, red or blue.
- Documents too
- For certificates and result slips, use compress PDF to 200KB or to 100KB.
- iPhone photos
- Take a screenshot of the photo or set Camera → Formats → Most Compatible, so it saves as JPG.
